My name is Deby Oneil and I have been personal training with Jeannie for 10 weeks. I have always stayed active by walking every day, but was concerned about my upper body strength, flexibility and balance. I went online seeking answers, but couldn't find the information I needed to begin an exercise program on my own. I could see that I would need some one-on-one help. Exercise is important at any age, but it is especially important as you get older. I’ll be 80 years old this year, and I needed an experienced trainer to develop a program for me. I wanted to understand the exercises, to practice and review them, and to feel confident that I was doing them correctly. This all happened for me with Jeannie! She is very educating and motivating, and she helped me understand why certain exercises are best for me and how they affect my body. I highly recommend that anyone seeking better health and fitness train with Jeannie several times a week and do the programs that she designs for you.
I have had the privilege of being a fitness training client of Jeannie Brown for several years now. She has been a blessing in countless ways! Jeannie is a very warm and caring individual. She is such an inspiration in her dedication to good health and shares all sorts of tidbits of information that are helpful in and out of the gym setting. Not only is Jeannie well-versed in the most current techniques of movement, but she understands and shares the science that backs it up. It’s obvious that she stays current with the cutting-edge knowledge that is important when working in the fitness industry today. I enjoy knowing why certain exercises should be done for various parts of my body. I am in my late sixties, and sometimes my body isn’t able to function at full capacity. Yet, Jeannie patiently gives me alternative choices and is mindful of telling her clients to listen to their bodies if a certain movement doesn’t feel quite right. On the other hand, she cheers me on to achieve more as I progress. It is such a pleasure to work out with a trainer who is always so positive, encouraging, and has years of experience in the fitness field. I truly feel privileged to be one of Jeannie's clients.
Iam a huge fan of Jeannie Brown. She's my personal trainer and has helped me rehab from extreme weight and bone density loss after losing my husband to cancer. It's taken years but today I am healthy and strong. And thanks entirely to Jeannie, I'm motivated to keep strength training and staying healthy for life. Jeanne is very knowledgeable and able to work around temporary injuries which is important to healing without losing ground. I'm in my 60's and have never been a gym person but Jeanne makes it fun and her life story of fitness into her 60's is inspiring. I could not do this on my own; as long as Jeannie is able to be my personal trainer, I will be her faithful (and grateful) client.
I began training with Jeannie 1 year ago. I have always been interested in health and nutrition, but as I got older I rationalized that a little extra weight and decreased level of fitness were natural and acceptable. Once I started training with Jeannie, I realized I had it all wrong. She was living proof that you can be very trim and fit at any age. She is the perfect trainer for me. Since I started training with her I am now at the lowest weight I have been in thirty years, and my blood pressure is lower than ever. Most importantly though, my mindset has changed and I intend on remaining fit and healthy for the rest of my life. Thank you Jeannie for being a positive influence and friendly motivation over the last six months. You are the ideal teacher for me. After my husband passed away four years ago I went into depression. Because of that I didn’t take my medication correctly. I munched on candy, soft drinks, all kinds of goodies. I was 5’2 and weighed 170 lbs, and became diabetic... Not good!! I fell three times and couldn’t get up. On occasion, I had to call my oldest son to come and help me, on another I had to call for a neighbor, after an hour or so, who happened to be outside of his house. I could barely walk, I couldn’t bathe of manage stairs, which were in my house. Now I live with my son and daughter in law in their home. She is an RN and a dietitian. She put me on a diet right away. Then they introduced me to Jeannie and that’s when things began to change!!! Jeannie is very knowledgeable in her field and a caring person. She started me at a slow pace and an exercise regime specifically for me. Now after two years with her, I can walk, bathe myself, go on walks, shopping for myself. Even travel alone. I enjoy life again!!! My daughter in law still manages my medications and I still exercise with Jeannie. The difference in my life is enormous. I take trips on a senior bus to my Doctor appointments, the store of wherever I need to go, which my son use to do for me. I am 5’2, no growth there one way or another, but I weigh 110 lbs, and my diabetic status is now in “diet control”. My medications have been virtually cut in half. Although exercise and dieting are not my favorite things to do, I know it works!!!! And I’m happy I made up my mind to do it. I recently turned 83 this year and am still going strong. I take piano lessons, continue to crochet and next on my list is to learn how to waltz!
I am so thankful that I started working with Jeannie. She has been crucial to my recovery from a car accident and I am now progressing towards better health. My workouts are tailored to meet my physical ability and fitness goals, resulting in strengthening without further injury, as well as an increase in endurance and sense of well being. I can’t thank her enough for being so instructive and supportive.

Jeanne Brown is a great personal trainer and a wonderful person. She motivates me to do my best during my training sessions with her, as well as outside of the gym. I find her very knowledgeable and inspirational and am always looking forward to my workouts with her.
Last year I decided to get back into shape, and more importantly, get healthier. I had already begun following a really good diet , but knew that I needed to add exercise into my life to truly achieve my goals. Luckily I found Jeannie Brown at the club where I was a member. In the first three months I began working with her I lost 70 pounds and went down 8 pant sizes.Jeannie was able to adapt my workout plan weekly. I have very difficult joints and feel like every time we start a session, my first line is “my ankle, knee or hip isn’t feeling well today” and she would alter the workout to work around the issue I was having so I always got my exercises done! I have really enjoyed my workouts with her and would recommend her to anyone who wants to become more fit and start enjoying life more.
Jeannie is the fitness trainer for some of our residents at Cascade Park Retirement Communities. Since she began, she has increased their awareness of physical fitness, nutrition and good body mechanics. We have seen a reduction in falls because of her core training and strengthening programs. We have also benefited with reduced medical issues including weight loss, muscle strengthening, and reduction in blood sugar levels. Jeannie is very energetic and professional, yet warm and caring. She is a unique lady who looks for the “best” in our seniors and brings all levels of stamina together in her workout programs and encourages them to go at their own pace. She is one amazing fitness trainer.
After rehabbing from a hip replacement, I realized how weak I was from years of being sedentary. I began a fitness program with personal trainer Jeannie Brown. I am now in my 7th month and feel much stronger and more fit than I have in years. The program is simple, fun and is tailored specifically for me, my challenges (many) and my goals. I have never worked out with a trainer before, opting for in-home videos and walking. Jeannie is extremely knowledgeable about exercise, human anatomy function as well as nutrition. Recently my 87 year old mother recently began working out with Jeannie. This was not at my urging, but because she saw how strong and fit I was becoming and was compelled to prolong and enhance the quality of her life by training with Jeannie also.
I am writing this letter to recommend Jeannie Brown as a physical fitness and bodybuilding trainer. She has created a strength training and weight loss program that I have made a part of my lifestyle. Her knowledge, patience and inspiration during my training sessions with her was the driving force behind my accomplishing my health and fitness goals (which my doctors consider very successful).She demonstrated an ability to push me to my limits without pushing me beyond into harming myself. This helped me to build my strength and see demonstrable result from the training. This positive result encouraged me to stick with the program and even go beyond that to become more interested in physical fitness in general, and as a lifestyle choice, contrary to my lifestyle before the program.
I have been a client of Jeannie Brown for almost three years. We meet three times a week and I now feel stronger and look and feel much better than I ever did. We have developed a good personal relationship and I feel I have come to know Jeannie quite well. Among her personal qualities are a positive attitude, great determination, loyalty and excellent communication skills, all very important qualities for a trainer to possess.
