Maybe you've been warned by your doctor that you need to lose weight. Or you have a family history of diabetes or heart disease, and want to reduce your risks of falling into the same pattern. Perhaps you're approaching middle age and find yourself wondering what happened to your youthful energy and vigor. You might simply want to be able to keep up with your kids or grand kids, or take a long walk without being out of breath. These are all signals that unhealthy habits may be interfering with your quality of life.
What is a
As a certified Health Coach, I am formally trained to use evidence based methods of intervention, such as motivational interviewing and active listening to gently motivate and guide you toward health related behavior change, be it weight loss, health issues, optimal aging or lifestyle modification. We'll form a collaborative partnership to evoke your own wisdom and desire to improve. I'll partner with your health care provider to ensure you are receiving the best program for your specific needs. Our time together will "fill in the blanks" that your doctor doesn't have the time or skills to address, such as lifestyle, stress, triggers, exercise or diet. I will have an eating plan professionally created by a registered dietitian, and I will personally design your activity and exercise program specifically tailored to your preferences. We'll meet weekly in person or via skype, along with unlimited email access, to ensure that you receive the support, education, resources and guidance you need to fully achieve long term changes. We'll hammer out a manageable action plan that you know in your heart you'll be able to.

Specific health needs vary according to your age, constitution, gender, size, lifestyle and heredity. This means your individual profile of daily habits, food choices, style of exercise, stresses and pleasures are different from anyone else's. Together, you and I will discover your unique profile, and uncover ways to adjust your habits on your terms.

I am extremely excited about the book I am writing, Strong Fit and Ageless. As an educated fitness professional, I will address the "how" to exercise, however it is the "why" which really defines the book.
